In order to ensure that students have a positive learning experience, we will be engaging in cooperative learning opportunities throughout the school year. Students will work with partners and small groups which will rotate throughout the year. This way, each student has the opportunity to work with every one of his/her peers. This ensures that students are engaging in active learning strategies while helping to promote a community within the classroom. It is essential that every student has the opportunity to learn in a safe and non-threatening environment.
Students will also have the opportunity to engage in project-based learning throughout the year, working with a team of teachers and students. This allows students to transfer learning throughout the curriculum.
